Chris Wren

 

runs a small AR/VR company here in Virginia, WrenAR, and is also a professor at George Mason University in the Computer Game Design program. He comes from a background in AAA game development, working as an artist and producer for companies like EA/Maxis, Namco and Microprose for 12 years. Among the titles he has worked on are the award winning F-16 combat flight simulator Falcon 4.0, the Sims franchise (Chris worked on 7 of them), and Warhammer: Mark of Chaos for the PC and XBOX 360.  Chris has spent the last seven years teaching game development at George Mason University in Virginia and he has been researching the topics of VR and AR for over 5 years, specifically advanced NUI interactions in this space. Sean T. McBeth

 

is a freelance software consultant, with too many hobbies to count. From databases to computer graphics, photography to electronics, games to financial reports, cooking to globe trotting, he is a bit of a sleep-deprived Renaissance man. When he's not building virtual reality experiences on the open Web, he travels with his wife around the world.

 

 

Ramani Duraiswami

 

is President and Co-Founder of VisiSonics Corporation, and a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Maryland, College Park. He has a Ph.D. from Johns Hopkins, and a B. Tech. from IIT Bombay. Over the last decade he and his students have researched and developed several unique technologies related to the perception of three dimensional sound, and its capture, analysis and its personalized recreation. He is excited by the emergence of VR in gaming, cinema and entertainment; and especially by the growing realization that accurate and consistent audio is essential for immersion, and the success of VR.  

 

 

Cody Coltharp

 

teaches game design at the Smithsonian Hirshhorn Museum's ARTLAB+ program; a free, radically inclusive after-school program where teens can socialize with friends, explore digital media and technical tools, take workshops to develop their interests and learn from each other’s differences in a welcoming and safe environment. Cody consults on and develops educational games within the Smithsonian and co-chairs Smithsonian Gaming, the Smithsonian’s game-based learning group. Before joining the Smithsonian, Cody was the Art Director for Green Door Labs, building location-based mobile games for museums and schools."
